Carey E. Taylor, Esq.

Senior Associate

Carey Taylor is an experienced attorney specializing in defending insurance companies across a broad range of claims, including auto glass, SIU investigations, first-party property disputes, and Personal Injury Protection (PIP). Dedicated and results-driven, Carey has extensive experience in litigation strategy, deposition and EUO attendance, motion practice, hearing attendance, and trial preparation. Her career representing insurance companies adds significant value to GLG and its clients.

From an early age, Carey knew she wanted to pursue a career in law. She studied Pre-Law at Flagler College, where she earned her Bachelor’s degree. During her time at Flagler, she interned with local law firms, gaining valuable early exposure to the litigation process. Carey went on to earn her Juris Doctor from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 2016. While in law school, she specialized in trial advocacy and litigation, mentored fellow students in the teacher’s assistant program, and completed several internships, including a trial clerkship at the Columbia County Courthouse.

Before joining GLG, Carey worked as an insurance defense attorney, focusing on insurance coverage disputes, insurance fraud claims, and automobile insurance defense. Her experience in these areas has equipped her with a deep understanding of claim investigations, policy interpretation, and the litigation strategies needed to deliver the best outcomes for her clients.

Outside of her legal practice, Carey is passionate about community service. She has led the back-to-school drive for the Boys and Girls Club of Northeast Florida for the past three years. In her free time, Carey enjoys spending time outdoors with her family, cheering on the Florida Gators, and visiting the dog park with her two pups, Forrest and Rio.
