Shannon Wong joined GLG in 2024, focusing on first-party property insurance defense. A native of Palm Beach County, Florida, Shannon earned her Bachelor of Science in Criminology, with a minor in Psychology, from Florida State University (FSU) in Tallahassee.

After completing her undergraduate studies, Shannon returned to Palm Beach County, where she worked as a Victim-Witness Coordinator with the State Attorney’s Office for the Fifteenth Judicial Circuit. It was during this time that she decided to pursue a law degree at FSU’s College of Law. While in law school, Shannon was an active student leader, serving as President of the Association for Criminal Justice and holding executive board positions with the Trafficking in America Task Force and the National Asian Pacific American Law Student Association. She was also honored with High Honors in both her Criminal Clerking Perspectives Course and the Criminal Litigation Externship Perspectives Course, while completing a Certified Legal Internship with the State Attorney’s Office for the Second Judicial Circuit.

Shannon graduated early in December 2021 and was admitted to the Florida Bar in April 2022. She then joined the Second Judicial Circuit as an Assistant State Attorney, prosecuting misdemeanors and managing a caseload of over 750 cases. Throughout her tenure, she regularly appeared in court, argued substantive motions, and successfully litigated more than 11 jury trials to verdict.

After transitioning from the State Attorney’s Office, Shannon returned to South Florida and joined a boutique firm specializing in first-party property litigation, with a focus on homeowner’s property damage claims.

In addition to her practice, Shannon serves as the Secretary for The Craig S. Barnard American Inns of Court in Palm Beach County, where she actively participates in monthly meetings aimed at enhancing professionalism and fostering strong professional relationships. Outside of work, Shannon enjoys spending time with her friends and family, traveling, and pampering her two dogs, Lacey and Romo.
