In her role at GLG, Jalesa focuses her practice on civil defense litigation, with a specialization in the prosecution of insurance fraud claims. Her expertise includes handling a wide range of cases, from personal injury protection (PIP) to bodily injury and uninsured/underinsured motorist claims. Jalesa’s strategic approach to litigation has been integral to the success of GLG.
Jalesa is licensed to practice law in the State of Florida and the Southern District of Florida. She is a member in good standing with both the Florida Bar and the Southern District Bar. Jalesa actively contributes to the legal community as a member of the Diversity and Inclusion and Grievance Committees within the Florida Bar. Additionally, she is a proud alumna of the Wm. Reece Smith, Jr. Leadership Academy.
Born in Brooklyn, New York, and raised in South Florida, Jalesa is deeply connected to her community and Jamaican roots. She is an active member of the T.J. Reddick Bar Association, where she currently serves on the board for the past two years. Beyond her legal practice, Jalesa is committed to giving back. She mentors with the Women of Tomorrow Mentor & Scholarship Program, inspiring and empowering at-risk young women to reach their full potential. Additionally, she volunteers and sits on the Social Media Committee for the City of Pembroke Pines.
Jalesa attended Miramar High School before pursuing her undergraduate studies at the University of Florida, where she earned a Bachelor of Science in Telecommunications with a Production Concentration. She continued her education at Florida A & M University College of Law, graduating with a Juris Doctorate in 2014. During her time in law school, Jalesa was actively involved in Mock Trial, Advocacy Group, Sports and Entertainment Law Society, and Phi Alpha Delta Law Fraternity.
